I’ve complied some of the most frequently asked questions about the different types of photo shoots:

What should we wear to our engagement photo shoot?
I often get asked “What should I wear for my photo shoot?”. I am happy to offer my clients individual advice tailored to their needs and their specific photo shoot (fancy/casual/fun).When you are looking in your closet think of clothing/outfits that will blend beautifully together (as a couple). Also take into account if they will look good when photographed outside – considering the backdrop of the season and/or location. For example, for a fall shoot be sure to choose clothing that will look good against the bright fall colors! It’s also a good idea to avoid large logos or lettering on clothing as this can distract greatly from the photo. Don’t forget accessories can make all the difference to a great image; perhaps a hat, scarf or a great necklace!
Do you provide props and accessories?
I do not usually provide props or accessories for engagement sessions. However, I am happy to help plan whatever the couple has in mind for their session. I am open to the couples creativity!
Can I add an additional person or pet to my engagement session?
Add $25 for each additional person and/or pet.

Do you provide advice on styling for the wedding day?
Yes! I am happy to answer any questions the couple might have regarding style, colors, or theme for their big day. After shooting many weddings over the years I have learned a thing or two!
How far in advance should I book my wedding?
We are currently booking for 2017.
maternity
What should I wear to my maternity photo shoot?
For maternity sessions your choice of clothing depends on your comfort level and what kind of photos you are looking for. Also consider whether you have requested a studio or outdoor session. I am happy to discuss any questions you may have regarding your baby bump attire when you book your session.
Do you provide props and accessories?
I have a few props however I always encourage couples to bring a few items that are special for the new baby. Items such as a special stuffed toy or booties are always welcome.
Can I add an additional person or pet to my maternity session?
Add $25 for each additional sibling and/or pet.

How should I dress my newborn for his/her first photo shoot?
I like to keep this session very much about the newborn, so, simple outfits are the best choice.
Do you provide props and accessories?
Yes, I have plenty of newborn items, including blankets, hats, headbands etc. I also encourage parents to bring a few things that are special for the baby, perhaps a blanket knitted by a family member; this makes for a special image that is unique to your baby!

What should my family wear to our group photo shoot?
When you are looking in your closet (as well as your kids closets) choose clothing/outfits that will blend beautifully together (as a whole family). Also take into account if they will look good when photographed outside – considering the backdrop of the season and/or location. I do not recommend that you all wear the same outfit. I do recommend outfits that compliment each other. For example if we are having a spring sessions with the lilacs as a backdrop, nice pastel colors look great together and also “go” or “match” with the season. It’s also a good idea to avoid large logos or lettering on clothing as this can distract greatly from the photo.
How many family members can be photographed during a family session?
Pricing is based on a family of four. If your family has more than four members, please contact me for a quote.
